There are several steps that must be taken for the completion of the web design phase. The first step is an initial consultation to discuss your expectations and requirements for a website. It is important to design a website that supports the growth of your business, provides additional information for your customers (directions, products, services, prices) and supplements your advertising.

 

Initial Consultation

 

For a fee of $40 per hour, we will meet with you to discuss the requirements for designing and hosting a website. This will include possible layouts, content, number of pages, hosting recommendations, etc. If you decide to have us design your website, up to $80 of the consulting fee will be applied to the Web Design cost.

Web Design Requirements

There are several steps that must be taken, from the initial contact with Searcy Web Design through design and sign-off, to publishing a website. Below are the general requirements of web site design and publishing.

  1. Requirements & Specifications
    • General layout
      • Number of Pages
      • Page Names (Home, Contact Us, Prices, etc)
      • Top of Page graphic
    • Colors
    • Menu (horizontal, vertical, sub-menus)
  2. Content
    • Text
    • Images/Pictures
    • Paypal Link
    • Optional Components
    • Links to other sites (business partners, related businesses)
  3. Prototype, Initial Website
  4. Approval
    • Approve final website
    • Make final payment for Website Design
  5. Uploading/Verification
    • Upload final approved website
    • Verify all links, site content, graphics

Our websites are designed to run on a minimum of:

We can do text only websites which will run on any platform/browser, but this will limit some of the optional components available to enhance the usability of your website.

 

You can select Netscape Navigator 4.x or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and above, or both to support older PCs/Operating Systems/Browsers. This option is not supported by Netscape 6.x and above and is not compatible with HTML 4.01 standards. Even though we do not recommend producing websites to support these older technologies/versions, we do offer that as an option.
