Hosting & Website Maintenance

Generally, a website does not remain static over time and must be maintained. We provide a maintenance service to insure that your website is kept up-todate. This services provides the following:

Maintaining your website

Even though much of the information on your website will be static (about us, contact, legal), many items must be updated to reflect changes in services, new products, new/changed pricing, special discounts, store events and changes to other information about the business.

Website Changes

Part of the monthly maintenance fee includes up to 2 hours of changes to your website. If all the changes requested that month require more than a total of 2 hours, then an additional hourly fee is charged. Time not used will be accumulated up to a maximum of 12 hours per year.

Changes will only be made at your request. This request must be in writing via Fax or e-mail. Our goal will be to have the request completed within 24 hours during the business week.

Provide Backup

We will backup your website after each change. Even though we carefully select reputable hosting firms, disaster can strike. We provide an offsite backup of your website so it can be easily recovered if this becomes necessary.

Monthly Reports

It is useful to know how your website is being accessed. As part of our maintenance, we provide 2 reports to summarize your website usage.

Search Engine Optimization

Many potential clients today search the Internet for products and services. It is important that they be able to find your business when these searches take place. Each day Search Engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.) send out “robots” that search, index and gather information about the millions of websites that make up the Internet. Each of these search engines use algorithms to determine where a website is placed on the search results page when a search is done.

There are entire websites and books devoted to how to design and code a website so it places higher on the search than its “competitors”. As part of our monthly maintenance, we will work to have your website get a higher Page Rank. However, this process takes months to occur unless you are willing to pay Google $ to make it occur faster.
